About Our Business
A few years ago, we converted our family’s 30-acre woodland property into a beautiful glampground, with our koi pond as the focal point, and began building wooden platforms on which to stake spacious safari tents and a yurt, where guests could stay. A large tent to enclose our cookstove and other kitchen equipment became a fixture by the pond, and our delicious, hot, homemade breakfasts became a key staple of our guest services.
First launched via AirBnb, we amassed quite an enthusiastic following, and over three years, our founder and matriarch, Rainey Jones, garnered a 5-star reputation as an AirBnb superhost. She happens to have a magic touch as an interior decorator and hostess, and she also boasts some pretty “mad skills” in the kitchen, as the kids would say. But don’t take our word for it, read the reviews for yourself!
In 2019, we felt we had a sign from above to expand and in 2020, our Dining Pavilion was built, with one of our sons taking the lead on construction.
When Covid-19 hit, we were thankful the Good Lord had inspired us to launch a business centered around the outdoors, as literal fresh air, peace, and quiet, became a popular escape for guests eager to escape city confinement, or even the four walls of their own home. We swiftly incorporated increased sanitizing procedures, and continued serving guests with plenty of warm hospitality, albeit from a few more steps away. Private table seating and plated meals at our Dining Pavilion are now part of our service, too, and of course, each tent or yurt has its own picnic table and outdoor grill for even more private dining, should you desire.
Heading into 2021, we are enthusiastic about another year serving our wonderful guests and as ever, we hope you enjoy your stay here in the heart of the Finger Lakes!
